Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome!
On this page, you’ll find answers to all the questions we get asked most often. We’ve put together this guide to help make your wedding planning process smooth, clear, and stress-free.
Your entire marriage process is completed online, making it simple, paper-free, and stress-free. Your ceremony takes place via Zoom, allowing you to say “I do” from the comfort of your home - or anywhere with a reliable internet connection. The ceremony typically lasts about 15 minutes. Afterward, we’ll email you a digital copy of your Texas marriage certificate and submit the original to your County Clerk’s Office via certified mail. Once your clerk receives it, they’ll officially process and sign your license, then mail it back to you.
For a mobile ceremony, we come to you. Whether you request to have your ceremony at your home, a park, or any special location you choose. A legally authorized officiant will lead your ceremony, complete and sign your marriage license, and either mail it to your county clerk or give it to you to file. Mobile ceremonies are currently available on Mondays and Tuesdays, making it easy and personal for your special day.
Your ceremony will be conducted by a legally recognized officiant fully authorized to perform weddings in Texas. They’ll guide you through the ceremony and make sure all legal requirements are properly completed, so your marriage is valid.
For virtual ceremonies, we can schedule your wedding as soon as your marriage license is received in our office! For mobile, in-person ceremonies, we are currently available on Mondays and Tuesdays. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferred date, so your special day happens exactly when you’re ready.
No, your marriage certificate will not indicate that your ceremony was conducted online nor remotely.
During holiday seasons, court processing times for marriage licenses may take a little longer due to limited staff or higher demand. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated every step of the way and ensure your license is processed as quickly as possible.
Our officiants are fluent in English and Spanish, and we can conduct your ceremony in either language - or a mix of both to make your celebration even more personal.
We specialize in celebrating weddings and officiating ceremonies, so we do not handle divorce proceedings. If you need assistance with a divorce, we recommend contacting a licensed attorney or your local family court. They can guide you through the process.

After your ceremony, we will complete and sign your marriage license. We then return it to the county clerk’s office where it was issued. The clerk officially records it, and once that happens, your marriage is legally recognized. Processing times vary by county but are usually just a few business days for them to mail back to you- or you pick it up.
If you notice any errors on your marriage certificate, such as a misspelled name or incorrect date, corrections must be made through the same county clerk’s office that issued your license. We’ll guide you on who to contact and which forms to submit. In most cases, it’s a straightforward process, and we’ll help ensure your certificate is accurate.
